THE KIWANIS CLUB OF MOUNT AIRY is having a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, Nov 23rd, from 7 to 11 am in the Good Shepherd Hall (top level) of Calvary United Methodist Church, 403 South Main Street, Mount Airy. The cost is $8 for adults, and $5 for children ages 6 to 12. Children ages 5 and under are free. This all-you-can-eat breakfast includes pancakes (regular, chocolate chip, and blueberry), eggs (cooked to order), Wagner Meats sausage, and beverages. EBENEZER UMC METHODIST CHURCH will hold the "Rock of Help" Food Pantry for anyone in the community in need of food from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month at the church's new food pantry building, 4901 Woodbine Road, near Winfield. THE MARYLAND ACCORDION CLUB meets 2-5pm, on the first Saturday of each month, September through June, in Catonsville United Methodist Church, 6 Melvin Ave., Catonsville, MD. Our current members reside in Anne Arundel Baltimore, Carroll, Calvert, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Kent, and Prince George's Counties, DC, DE, and VA. In 2019, the club begins its 17th year as a MD 501-C3 Non-Profit Organization. Each meeting includes an "open stage" session where accordionists, concertina, harmonium, and players of other free reed, acoustic, and folk instruments perform at every proficiency level in styles ranging from classical to jazz across world-wide traditions.
