2019 FREDERICK WOMEN'S DISTANCE FESTIVAL 5K Saturday, August 3, 2019, 7:30-10am, Frederick Community College, Frederick, Maryland. Join us for the 30th annual Frederick Women's Distance Festival 5k, presented by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club. This 5k race for female runners and walkers promotes health and fitness among women of all ages and abilities. The front of the pack is pretty competitive, but we have plenty of beginners/walkers and everything in between. THE FREDERICK COUNTY CRAFT BEVERAGE FESTIVAL August 10, 2019 at the Libertytown Volunteer Fire Department Activities Grounds from 12-2pm. This is a one of a kind event that will feature beer, wine and distilled spirits produced in Frederick County. The festival will be a fun family event with games and activities for kids and adults. EBENEZER UMC METHODIST CHURCH will hold the "Rock of Help" Food Pantry for anyone in the community in need of food from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the third Saturday of each month at the church's new food pantry building, 4901 Woodbine Road, near Winfield. Non-perishable foods, assorted frozen foods, plus a non-food household item, and children's shoes, are available. Those coming to the food pantry are asked to fill out a short information sheet, then the church gives them a list of available foods. The food pantry will be held Saturday July 20, Aug. 17, Sept. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 21, 2019.
